India-made cough syrups caused disease in Gambia kids: US CDC

Indian cough syrups exported to Gambia contaminated with diethylene glycol (DEG) and ethylene glycol (EG) led to acute kidney injury (AKI) cluster among children, according to an investigation led by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Gambian scientists.
