Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignancy and the leading cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide [1]. In 2020, there were approximately 2.3 million new cases of female breast cancer across the world (11.7% of all new cancer cases) and it was associated with 685,000 deaths (6.9% of all cancer-related deaths) [1].
