Alteration of the cortical morphology in classical trigeminal neuralgia: voxel-, deformation-, and surface-based analysis

ConclusionsThe gray matter volume and cortical morphology of pain-related brain regions were correlated with clinical and trigeminal nerve parameters. voxel-based morphometry, deformation-based morphometry, and surface-based morphometry complemented each other in analyzing the brain structures of patients with classical trigeminal neuralgia and provided a basis for studying the pathophysiology of classical trigeminal neuralgia.Graphical Abstract
