Cancer –nerve interplay in cancer progression and cancer-induced bone pain

ConclusionIt is suggested that SNs may be a newly-recognized important component of the bone microenvironment that contribute to not only in the pathophysiology of CIBP but also cancer progression in bone and dissemination from bone. Suppression of the activity of bone-innervating SNs, thus, may provide unique opportunities in the treatment of cancer progression and dissemination, as well as CIBP.
