Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for postcardiotomy cardiogenic shock after valve replacement

CONCLUSIONS: Outcomes of ECMO in patients with prosthetic valves are comparable between bioprosthetic and mechanical valves. Thrombosis might occur in both valve types and was associated with high mortality.
