We all know that having female friends can sometimes be dangerous water to inhabit. After all, as women we can sometimes have high expectations of ourselves on multiple fronts; looks, career, social life, family, friends, children, relationships etc … This week I’m really pleased to introduce Maegan Glidden, the author of Best Bitches, a book that helps you navigate those choppy waters! The Maegan Glidden Interview What is one thing that no-one would usually know about you? It is absolutely impossible for me to fall asleep without a blanket covering my ear. An unfortunate childhood event with a centipede has left me neurotically bug-phobic for life. How did you choose a title for your book? The title of my book just smacked me in the face one day driving home from work, as I was mentally processing an undesirable run-in with one of my beloved female colleagues, and I couldn’t seem to shake off the expletive. Sometimes, the word bitch is too spot-on to change, no matter how much you love the lady. Are there any occupational hazards to being an author? Occupational hazards of writing include increased risk of carpal tunnel, stiff neck, and probable hunchback. Not to mention the sheer anguish of having to own up to the crappy blog posts you put out as a teenager: Google never forgets. Who would you like to play you in a film of your life?
