Conclusion: Psychosocial stressors are commonly reported preceding URDS. Knowledge about psychosocial stressors' impact may lead to preventive interventions, improved monitoring, and earlier diagnosis. Future research should focus on understanding psychosocial stressors to help identify individuals at risk for URDS and contribute to treatment.
