PSA for PTE & CTE Confusion (for MD Schools)
Sometimes, you only learn things after the fact. Ladies and gents, that's what happened to me. Here I am to give y'all folks the lowdown for next cycle & hopefully every year after. Admins, would be helpful if y'all could pin something like this or bring it up in future years. I sure know I would've wanted it Dropping to 3 As by Apr 15th is only a courtesy, NOT an obligation. No shame in keeping more than 3 As past that; and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This ain't time... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

OB/Gyn Fellowships Question
Hello! I’m currently a medical student and really love women’s health and OB/Gyn, but the one thing that is holding me back from committing to the specialty currently is the lifestyle post-residency of a generalist. I understand that MIGS, urogyn, REI, and MFM subspecialties have a relatively great lifestyle in attendinghood. However I was curious about what the lifestyle is like during fellowship for these. Are hours reasonable during the fellowships too? I think I can get through a tough 4... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Red Pill Spaces
Any of you worked with anyone (most likely males) who have brought up taking the red pill? I've had 4-5 male zoomer patients who subscribe to it as if it was a religious doctrine, namely the hypergamy stuff [the historical tendency for women to date across and up], evolutionary psych - David Bus (which....I think there is at least in some small part some legitimacy to). However, it also feels like it's getting into incel territory at times, real doomer/hopeless spaces, where some simple... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Female Large Animal Vets- safety in regards to clients
Hello! I’m interested in maybe going into large animal medicine, and I was wondering what safety for women vets was like in regards to safety against clients. There have been several instances of clients attacking(physically and verbally)/ threatening vets in a traditional clinic setting, and I am just worried about what could happen if a vet is alone in a rural area, especially for a late night farm call. Is this a reasonable worry? What have you all experienced? Thank you! (Source: Student Doctor Network)
