Did not updating residency programs with my STEP 2 score hurt me in the ranking process?
Hey everyone, Need some help easing my post match anxiety and helping reassure that I did my best this past residency application cycle. I took STEP 2 at the end of January after all my interviews were completed and released the USMLE transcript to programs on 2/2. Scored a 25x, which made up for for my absymal 21x STEP 1 score. I didn't think to send an email to the PD/PC an update email, as I assumed they would be notified by ERAS. I ended up matching at my #3 which I'm not too thrilled... Chances of passing Step 1
UWORLD 63% (80% of the complete on random timed and have been improving to high 60's-70's past few weeks) NBME 27 202 -march NBME 28 196 - early april NBME 29 223 mid april NBME 26 215 early may COMSAE Phase 1 596 early may UWSA2 today 222 (I've heard this way over-predicts and this was actually the hardest practice exam I've taken, incredibly biochem/cardio/neuro heavy ffs. all of my weak points! Hoping it doesn't over predict that much or I'm going to fail). I'm kind of stagnant in the... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Should I take COMLEX 1 while it is still scored?
Currently scheduled to take COMLEX 1 May 20th, but the last day to take it scored is May 9th. My NBME'S have been 200->200->223->215. Just took COMSAE 1 and got a 596. I'm taking Step 1 on May 16th. Would a Pass on Step 1 and a high COMLEX score look better than just a P for both? I can change things up quickly or leave it the way that it is. Being a guinea pig class is not fun. Thank you!! CCS.com grading
I am taking part two next week and have been using CCS.com cases to prepare. I noticed that CCS.com doesn't take off points for a lot of things I do incorrectly. Is this because it wouldn't be a point deduction on the real thing or does CCS.com not really score us the way the real exam does? For example, when discharging a patient at the end of the case, I only ordered one antibiotic and did not specifically discontinue the IV abx version the patient had been on while on the ward. Even... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pros and Cons of Integrated Pod Programs
Hello, I have an offer from my 2 top schools, Kent State and DMU. I was wondering if any current students from those programs could speak on their experience at their school? For those at DMU, did you feel like the exams were more difficult and catered towards the USMLE for the DO students? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

St. James Investigated by FTC
Caribbean Med School Lied About Match Rates? Students who attended Saint James from 2016 to 2022 may be eligible for a refund www.medpagetoday.com It's shameful that the whole fine for defrauding thousands of students is $1.2 million. They were found to actually have USMLE first time pass rates of 35% and placement rates of 60% while claiming both to be well into the 90s. The penalty should me... Struggling with Step 1 Multiple Times
Hi! I’ve taken Step 1 three times it didn’t go well. I want to take it a fourth time, but I’m not sure how to convince my school to let me do that. I’m a decent student staying above average on all my curriculum exams. For my practice USMLE, they have all been passing, and except for the first one, have all been around the 230 range. The school has seen all that and has given me multiple times to take the exam but I am not sure what’s happening. I will do whatever is necessary because... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Exam in 3.5 weeks - freaking out...
Hello ! Just need some moral support as I am in a very dark place right now... My exam is scheduled for in 3.5 weeks. I have been grinding since beginning of March. Did 3 NBMEs thus far, all saying 99% pass chance (scores 217, 230, 216). Our school gave a CBSE recently and I scored 80%. I am 75% UWorld done. Do you think I will be ready to take on the big beast at the scheduled time to pass? I am just freaking out since I don't feel that confident taking the NBMEs... Should I postpone my...
