Comlex 1 Preparation Advice
Hi, I am a first year DO student and am doing quite well in my blocks so far. I would like to get some tips and advice on preparing for Comlex 1 next year. Specifically my questions are - 1. What is the best set of recommended prep courses/materials that will help with Comlex 1? I am seeing so many options like TrueLearn (Combank), Comquest, Uworld, Amboss etc. I am not sure which ones are most effective or should I get all of them? 2. The Comlex test site mentions Comsae can be... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Most predictive practice test compared to USMLE step 2CK
I have done some searching around and based on what I found, people on reddit seem to say that UWORLD SA2 is the most similar and predictive to the real test. I have also seen that the new free 120 is also a good predictor. For those who have take step 2, what practice tests did you feel like were the best predictor and most similar to the real thing? USMLEagle and other Step 1 prep courses
Hello, Does anyone have any experience with USMLEagle or any other Step 1/COMLEX Level 1 prep courses that they found helpful/not helpful for studying for these exams? Trying to decide if it's worth it to splurge on one. I wasn't the best student in pre-clinicals and have some money saved. TIA (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Dedicated time to study for Step 2 CK?
In the post-Step 1 pass/fail era, how much dedicated study time are students normally taking to prepare for Step 2 CK after third-year rotations? What is normal these days? What is ideal? Of course, everyone is different, and third-year rotations with shelf exams is year's worth of excellent preparation for Step 2. I think the addage used to be that you need 2 months to prepare for Step 1, 2 weeks to prepare for Step 2, and a number 2 pencil to prepare for Step 3, but I am guessing this... For all the average, non-genius high scorers out there. How did you do it?
This post isin't meant for the high IQ's, but rather the average joes who grinded their way into A's and top test scores. I'd love to know how you did it and any advice you'd give to yourself/students about to start mcat/med school studying. Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

NBME Pharmacology Remediation
Remediating with an NBME Pharm exam that covers GI, Neuro/Psych, Endo and Repro. Need to clear a raw 70%. 1. Will sketchy pharm and uworld be enough? 2. How does one answer pharmacotherapy questions without studying all of the pathologies on the side? It seems like this isnt a pharm test, more so path+pharm in one. 3. Do I need any books beside Sketchy? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Foreign Step cheating scandal - recalls and screen shots
US Board Discloses Cheating, Grads Say Problem Is Rampant USMLE says it is invalidating some scores amid mounting allegations that online sellers of test questions have been operating without consequence. www.medscape.com Interesting development, posting since I haven't seen it discussed here yet. Given the high stakes, it's really not too surprising that this happens. Sheriff of Sodium's thoughts on how they were caught: I really think the benefits of high S2 scores tends to fade away somewhere in the low/mid 260s, so by pushing for 270s & ...

Failed COMLEX Level 3
I failed my COMLEX Level 3 first attempt. Scored a 312, needed 350. I took my Level 1 in Sept 2017 (594) and my Level 2 in 2018 (508). Looking for advice on what to do differently while working a busy schedule. Last attempt did about 50% of COMQUEST. I will be getting an extension on my COMQUEST since I didn't pass the exam, but was wondering if it would be worth doing COMQUEST all over again and complete 100% of it this time, or if I should switch to COMBANK instead. Any advice would be... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How can I improve my studying method?
My school doesn't really give us lectures and they don't give us any resources like Uworld, BnB, pathoma, etc. I purchased a subscription to Bootcamp and USMLE-Rx. I've been grinding those video lectures and practice questions. I'm not sure if this will be enough for my exams. My school does 90-95% NBME questions and 5-10% prof made questions. Is there any other resource I can use or anything else I should be doing? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
