Diet Pepsi With Aspartame Isn't Going Away Completely
Aspartame lovers can stop hoarding Diet Pepsi now.  In April, PepsiCo announced that it was removing aspartame from Diet Pepsi in response to growing consumer concern about the artificial sweetener's possible adverse health effects, and replacing it with sucralose. On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported the drink company's CEO, Indra Nooyi, announced that the recipe change would take effect in late August of this year -- but also that Diet Pepsi containing aspartame will still be available for sale online after that time.  There's no doubt that many, even most, consumers are dubious about asp...

Being a recovering muffin- and scone-aholic myself, who has long gone without for better blood sugar management, I am hooked once again. Bethenny Frankel Says Men Don't Know That We're Crazy And Avocados Make Us Glow
You can start watching The Real Housewives of New York again (which premieres tonight on Bravo), because Bethenny is back. Seriously, if anyone can bring true realism to a ‘reality tv show’ (not that we’ve ever watched Real Housewives, The Bachelor, or reality shows in general of course…) it’s Bethenny Frankel. She’s also keeping it real with her new book out today -- I Suck At Relationships So You Don’t Have To -- whose title speaks for itself. Pumpkin: More Than Just Pie
We carve faces in them and love the pies, but pumpkin, it turns out, is actually a very nutritious gourd with so many great beneficial components that can make it a great side dish to many meals, much like sweet potatoes, only without a blood sugar spike. It's in the same plant family as squash, cucumber and melons, very similar to butternut squash, yet it's mostly forgotten and left out of our diet. Its bright orange color denotes a rich content of carotenoids, the precursors to vitamin A. Nurses Health Studies indicate that a diet high in carotenoids can decrease the risk of cataracts and cancer. Pumpkin is chock full...
