Kelly Officer, 49, eats a vegan diet and shuns most processed foods. So, after a recent routine blood test revealed that she had high cholesterol, “I was shocked and upset,” she says, “since it never has been [high] in the past.”

Design, methods and baseline characteristics of the Beijing Hospital Atherosclerosis Study: a prospective dynamic cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: This study has successfully initiated an investigation into the roles of new biosignatures in predicting CAD among Chinese Han patients undergoing CAG. To the best of our knowledge, this cohort is the first study systematically focusing on the association of lifestyle biomarkers and biological age with CAD risk. CONCLUSION: Patients with hypertension, large infarction lesions, high NIHSS score at admission, atrial fibrillation, and small artery occlusion cerebral infarction can increase the risk of bleeding transformation in patients with cerebral infarction.
