Objective: The aim of the study is to examine trends in the age of patients receiving cochlear implants and to determine the effect of age on the rate of perioperative complications. Surgical salvage of recurrent vestibular schwannoma following prior stereotactic radiosurgery
ConclusionMicrosurgical salvage of VS following primary radiation therapy is challenging. Less‐than‐complete resection is required in a greater percentage of patients to preserve facial nerve integrity and prevent neurological complications. Evaluation of Reconstructive Techniques for Anterior and Middle Skull Base Defects Following Tumor Ablation
Conclusions: Vascularized flaps provide reliable and durable reconstructive options for anterior and middle skull base defects after resection of large complex malignant neoplasms of the craniofacial region. Free flaps, such as RFFFs, ALTs, and TDAPs, are well suited for these defects. They have a low risk of complications and low donor-site morbidity and offer good functional and esthetic outcomes.
