ConclusionThe new PVED reveals improved device visibility, ease of delivery and repositioning with precise distal opening in comparison to previous PED generations. Initial results demonstrate overall good device performance, safety profile and effectiveness. O-035 Endovascular treatment of cerebral venous thrombosis involving the deep venous system
ConclusionsAlthough deep venous involvement of CVT is uncommon, these patients are at risk of quickly becoming critically ill with an elevated rate of death or dependency. Although these patients may develop stroke, hemorrhage, or neurologic decline prompting consideration of endovascular therapy, the deep cerebral venous system is not easily accessible with catheters due to small lumens and risk of perforation. O-063 First U.S. multicenter experience using the pipeline flex embolization device with shield technology for treatment of intracranial aneurysms
ConclusionOur study is the first to report the early experience with the newly FDA-approved PED Flex with Shield technology amongst US centers. Our results are comparable with non-US, international studies showing a high technical success rate and safe peri-procedural angiographic and patient outcome. E-033 Optimization of endovascular treatment for patients with acute carotid plaque rupture and free- floating thrombus by use of two overlapping closed-cell stents with different radial force
ConclusionUse of the Carotid Wallstent as the first stent to secure the free-floating thrombus allows save delivery of the Xact stent which then adds a second closed-cell mesh layer as well as the needed radial force to expand the stent construct. ConclusionThese findings highlight the potential value of GPIs as a viable first line therapy for EVT rescue therapy in the setting of ICAD. This study was limited by the nature of the literature, which were non-randomized observational studies.
