Use of a Novel Negative-Pressure Tent During Bedside Tracheostomy in COVID-19 Patients
ConclusionsIt is feasible to perform PDT on intubated COVID-19 patients using the AerosolVE negative-pressure tent. This is a promising low-cost device to decrease risk to healthcare providers during AGPs.

Risk factors of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage after acute ischemic stroke treated with tissue-type plasminogen activator. The effectiveness of activated recombinant factor VII treatment.
Conclusion: The inclusion/exclusion criteria of tPA were based on the AHA/ASA Guidelines for the early management of patients with AIS.These patients had no evidence of infections, bronchoscopy, autoimmune diseases, HIV, and transplantations. Our study suggests that systemic administration of rFVIIa for DAH is effective. Emphysema may be a risk factor for the development of DAH following tPA. When we use tPA for emphysema patients, we must be careful about DAH enough. PMID: 32547816 [PubMed]

Portable fibrobronchoscopic treatment for non-severe ischemic stroke-associated pneumonia patients with dysphagia: a pilot study.
CONCLUSION: Sputum suction and alveolar lavage with portable fibrobronchoscope can significantly improve the hypoxia and pulmonary infections, reduce the inflammatory response, and thus improve the prognosis, rendering suction and alveolar lavage with portable fibrobronchoscope as a safe and effective treatment for non-severe ischemic SAP patients with dysphagia. Tracheostomy decannulation of patients with brain injury guided by flexible bronchoscope.
Conclusions: Safe patient care requires that various medical departments keep pace with the development of different specialities. To ensure early rehabilitation of patients with severe brain injury having tracheostomy, safe treatment and, if possible, decannulation should be performed. This procedure requires the involvement of a physician with bronchoscopy skills as well as the development of local protocols. Orv. Hetil., 2014, 155(28), 1108-1112. Right Hemispheric Acute Ischemic Stroke Secondary To Right Common Carotid Artery Free Floating Thrombus Due To Hypercoagulable State In An Otherwise Healthy 48-Year-Old Woman. (P6.263)
Conclusions: Due to the high association between malignancy and hypercoagulable state, further work up needs to be warranted in the evaluation of a patient with FFT. To our knowledge this is the first case report of symptomatic FFT treated with an oral direct factor-Xa inhibitor. Further randomized clinical trials are required to assess the best therapeutic approach of this condition.Disclosure: Dr. Orjuela has nothing to disclose. Dr. Gill has nothing to disclose. Stress cardiomyopathy following acute ischemic stroke during flexible bronchoscopy: a rare sequence of complications
We report three similar cases of cough-induced transdiaphragmatic intercostal hernia, highlighting the anatomic findings obtained with different imaging modalities (radiography, ultrasonography, CT, and magnetic resonance) in each of the cases.Hérnias intercostais transdiafragmáticas são eventos raros e são geralmente relacionadas a traumas abertos ou fechados, com risco de complicações. Relatamos três casos semelhantes, decorrentes de crises de tosse, destacando o aspecto das alterações anatômicas nos exames de imagem obtidos em cada situação (radiografia, ultrassonografia, TC e ressonância magnética)
