Ninety-seven cases of experiences with the left thoracotomy approach for off-pump conventional revascularization: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Left thoracotomy for conventional revascularization is a safe procedure for appropriately selected patients, with few early complications and good early and mid-term results. More cases are ongoing and long-term results are in observation.PMID:36389332 | PMC:PMC9641355 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-22-1162

Hyperlipoproteinemia(a) and Severe Coronary Artery Lesion Types
Conclusion: Diffuse atherosclerosis and coronary calcinosis are associated with elevated Lp(a) levels, independent of other risk factors. The risk of MACE in the first year after surgery is significantly higher in patients with diffuse atherosclerosis and coronary calcinosis, which should be considered when prescribing postoperative treatment for such patients.PMID:36359368 | DOI:10.3390/biomedicines10112848

Coronary artery bypass surgery for acute coronary syndrome: A network meta ‐analysis of on‐pump cardioplegic arrest, off‐pump, and on‐pump beating heart strategies
ConclusionsAlthough no single best surgical revascularisation approach in ACS patients was identified, the significant mortality benefit with OPCAB seen with AMI suggests high acuity patients may benefit most from avoiding further myocardial injury associated with cardiopulmonary bypass and cardioplegic arrest.

Predicting early mortality following single ‐stage coronary artery or valve surgery and carotid endarterectomy
ConclusionsConsidering that postoperative stroke rate and mortality was acceptably low, single-stage approach is an effective option in such selected high-risk patients.

Therapeutic Efficacy of a Staged Hybrid Technique vs. Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Grafting in The Treatment of Multi-Vessel Coronary Artery Disease
CONCLUSION: In older patients with multi-vessel CAD, the mortality after CABG is higher than after HCR, but the incidence of second revascularization after CABG is lower than after HCR.PMID:36317902 | DOI:10.1532/hsf.4935
