Effect of Strategy Training on Self-Awareness of Deficits After Stroke.
Conclusions and Relevance: Self-awareness warrants further investigation to determine whether it improves naturally over time or through both interventions after stroke.
WHAT THIS ARTICLE ADDS: Self-awareness of deficits, and the use of strategies in particular, may improve in the early stages of stroke recovery, but the optimal approach for intervention remains unclear.

Occupational engagement following mild stroke in the Australian context using the occupational gaps questionnaire.
Conclusions and significance: The English version of the OGQ was found to be a feasible instrument for identifying occupational gaps following mild stroke and may be suitable to support research and clinical practice with this population.

Experiences of occupational performance in survivors of stroke attending peer support groups.
This study explores the experiences of occupational performance in survivors of stroke attending an outpatient peer support group.
METHOD.: An interpretive qualitative study using semi-structured interviews was conducted with seven survivors of stroke attending an outpatient peer support group. Data was thematically analyzed.
FINDINGS.: Four themes related to the experience of peer support on occupational performance emerged: finding hope to return to meaningful occupation, a place for belonging, problem-solving occupational concerns, and finding purpose beyond oneself.

Task-based mirror therapy enhances the upper limb motor function in subacute stroke patients: a randomized control trial.
CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that the combination of conventional rehabilitation treatment and TBMT is an effective way to improve the functional recovery in the upper limb stroke patients.
CLINICAL REHABILITATION IMPACT: TBMT is a therapeutic technique that can be used in subacute stroke patients with moderate and severe upper limb impairment.

A qualitative study of stroke survivors' experience of sensory changes.
This study utilized a qualitative description method. Researchers used semi-structured interviews with probing questions. Inductive content analysis approach was used to analyze the data. Researchers recruited 13 stroke survivors ≤75 years old who participated in a community-based stroke program.
FINDINGS.: Emerging themes included daily life impact of sensory function changes, and experience and timing of sensory changes. Repetitions, duration and intensity of upper limb practice following the implementation of robot assisted therapy with sub-acute stroke survivors: an observational study.
CONCLUSIONS: This is the first study to have observed an increase in UL practice with the inclusion of RT-UL as part of routine clinical practice. This increase in practice is considered to be due to RT-UL providing highly supportive and expeditious semi-supervised practice. Notably, RT-UL was able to be implemented within the existing organisational structures with only basic training of therapy staff. How Adults With Stroke Conceptualize Physical Activity: An Exploratory Qualitative Study
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Participants broadly categorized PA, encompassing multiple activity types, which is encouraging because reducing sedentary behavior and increasing PA of any intensity can improve cardiometabolic health.
