Adaptation and content validation of a patient-reported measure of treatment burden for use in stroke survivors: the patient experience with treatment and self-management in stroke (PETS-stroke) measure
CONCLUSIONS: PETS-stroke has content that is relevant, meaningful and comprehensible to stroke survivors. Content validity and reliability testing are now required. Sexuality after stroke: patient counseling preferences.
Conclusions: Many stroke survivors experience sexual dysfunction and indicate a desire for additional information and counseling from healthcare providers. Preferences regarding the timing of such counseling vary, creating challenges for optimizing the delivery of this care. 'Masterstroke: a pilot group stroke prevention program for community dwelling stroke survivors'.
Conclusions: Participation in the Masterstroke program for community dwelling stroke survivors resulted in significant improvements in knowledge, functional balance, dietary behaviours and quality of life. Qualitative interviews support the participants' implementation of lifestyle changes essential for reducing risks of secondary stroke. Results support the utilisation of this model and warrants rigorous investigation regarding long-term impacts of an education and exercise program on community dwelling stroke survivors. Exploring the experience of psychological morbidity and service access in community dwelling stroke survivors: a follow-up study.
Conclusions: The experience of psychological morbidity persists beyond 12 months post-stroke, having a profound impact on community access, and social participation. Changes in the impact of stroke between 3 and 12 months post-stroke, assessed with the Stroke Impact Scale.
CONCLUSION: Both positive and negative clinically meaningful changes related to impact of stroke were found between 3 and 12 months post-stroke. Therefore it is important to pay close attention to patients' perceptions of their everyday life situation during rehabilitation and at discharge.

Negotiating role management through everyday activities: narratives in action of two stroke survivors and their spouses.
Conclusion The findings add to the current understanding of self-management and role management with regard to how these are situated in everyday activities. How is sexuality after stroke experienced by stroke survivors and partners of stroke survivors? A systematic review of qualitative studies.
CONCLUSION: Stroke has a profound impact on how sexuality is experienced by both stroke survivors and partners of stroke survivors. Despite this, post-stroke sexuality is rarely discussed openly. Stroke survivors and partners value sexuality and may benefit from strategies to support adjustment to post-stroke sexuality.

CONCLUSIONS: This study provides new insights into the experience of inpatient and outpatient stroke care by younger stroke survivors and outlines possible improvements for clinical practice. Further validation of the Preference-Based Stroke Index three months after stroke.
CONCLUSION:: Preference-Based Stroke Index demonstrated significantly higher construct validity compared to the EuroQol-5D-3L at three months post stroke and can discriminate among known groups.

Disrupted biographies: making sense of minor stroke after hospital discharge.
Conclusions: Although participants had different experiences of minor stroke, there were common elements. The first weeks post-hospital discharge were a time of questioning and reconciling the stroke for many participants. Adjusting to post-stroke impairments and the impact of these on social participation was also prominent.
