Comparison of Kinect2Scratch game-based training and therapist-based training for the improvement of upper extremity functions of patients with chronic stroke: a randomized controlled single-blinded trial.

Comparing memory group training and computerized cognitive training for improving memory function following stroke: A phase II randomized controlled trial.
CONCLUSION: Preliminary evidence shows that memory skills groups, but not computerized training, may facilitate achievement of functional memory goals for community dwelling survivors of stroke. These findings require further replication, given the modest sample size, subjective nature of the outcomes and the absence of objective eligibility for inclusion. Effectiveness of a manualised group training intervention for memory dysfunction following stroke: a series of single case studies.
CONCLUSION: Frequency of everyday memory complaints reduced for all participants during the six-week post-intervention period. This change was significant for three participants. One of the four participants reported a significant reduction in the frequency of prospective memory failures during the maintenance period. Development of a participatory, tailored behaviour change intervention to increase active practice during inpatient stroke rehabilitation.
CONCLUSIONS: This example of collaborative implementation research can be used and adapted by clinicians and researchers in other rehabilitation services. IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION Rehabilitation staff can be actively involved in designing behaviour change interventions. Behaviour change interventions should target local barriers to increase activity levels and practice completed by stroke inpatients. Cognitive oriented strategy training augmented rehabilitation (COSTAR) for ischemic stroke: a pilot exploratory randomized controlled study.

Every person is an individual: physical therapist clinical reasoning used in inpatient rehabilitation for walking assistive device prescription in patients with stroke and brain injury.
Conclusions: Results from this study revealed complexity in the clinical reasoning process used in physical therapy practice to determine the best walking assistive device for patients with stroke and brain injury during inpatient rehabilitation. Effect of high-intensity exercise on cardiorespiratory fitness in stroke survivors: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions. Our meta-analysis suggests that high-intensity exercise is beneficial for cardiorespiratory fitness in stroke survivors and might be safe as a novel intervention in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation after stroke.

Effects of aerobic exercise using cycle ergometry on balance and functional capacity in post-stroke patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised clinical trials.
Conclusions: The cycle ergometer aerobic exercise did not seem to improve balance or functional capacity in post-stroke patients. IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION Aerobic exercise with cycle ergometer does not improve balance in patients after chronic stroke, but the results for functional capacity are more promising. Clinical non-superiority of technology-assisted gait training with body weight support in patients with subacute stroke: A meta-analysis
Conclusions. TAGT with BWS was not superior to COT in improving post-stroke recovery in patients with subacute stroke. Strategies other than simply increasing the repetitions by external assistance may be considered to augment the treatment effects of TAGT.

The effect of combined scalp acupuncture and cognitive training in patients with stroke on cognitive and motor functions.
CONCLUSIONS: Combined scalp acupuncture and cognitive training can efficiently enhance cognitive and motor functions in patients with stroke during the recovery stage, which may be a more effective rehabilitation treatment after stroke than routine therapy and rehabilitation training alone. Effects of aerobic training on physical activity in people with stroke: A randomized controlled trial.
CONCLUSION: Aerobic treadmill training improved quality of life. Aerobic treadmill training or outdoor-overground walking improved depression, endurance and mobility. Further studies are needed to clarify the effects of aerobic training on physical activity levels and time spent in low-energy expenditure activities after stroke.
