Diversity of Stroke Presentation in CADASIL: Study from Patients Harboring the Predominant NOTCH3 Mutation R544C
This study investigated the clinical stroke presentation and cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in a group of patients with CADASIL. We reviewed the clinical stroke presentation and brain MRI findings in 73 consecutive Korean patients aged>18 years diagnosed with CADASIL between May 2004 and April 2009. Timing-Invariant Imaging of Collateral Vessels in Acute Ischemic Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Collateral vessels may not always be visible on standard single time-frame CTA because of delayed contrast arrival. Future prognostic studies in acute stroke should consider delay-insensitive techniques, such as TI-CTA, instead of standard single time-frame imaging, such as standard CTA.

Combination of Noninvasive Neurovascular Imaging Modalities in Stroke Patients: Patterns of Use and Impact on Need for Digital Subtraction Angiography
Conclusions: In our experience, a combination of CTA and MRA was frequently used in patients in whom the initial noninvasive imaging was determined insufficient. The combination of findings from CTA and MRA were considered adequate in a large portion of patients resulting in a lower requirement for DSA and higher treatment impact from DSA.

Increasing Use of Computed Tomographic Perfusion and Computed Tomographic Angiograms in Acute Ischemic Stroke From 2006 to 2010 Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— There was a marked increase in the rate of CTA and CTP studies in setting of acute ischemic stroke from 2006 to 2010, and both modalities were associated with increased reperfusion therapy use.

Impact of Collaterals on Successful Revascularization in Solitaire FR With the Intention for Thrombectomy Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Better collaterals were associated with lower glucose, lower blood pressure, smaller baseline infarcts in SWIFT, and greater likelihood of successful revascularization without hemorrhage and good clinical outcomes. Advantages of susceptibility‐weighted magnetic resonance sequences in the visualization of intravascular thrombi in acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsSWAN was more sensitive than T2* in the visualization of SVS in the intracranial arteries during the acute phase of ischemic stroke. Our study shows that the low number of SVS visualized using T2* in previous studies is probably related to a lack of sensitivity of the sequence, rather than to the nature or age of the thrombus. The greater sensitivity of SWAN seems to be linked to the visualization of SVS in cases of small thrombi.

Outcomes of manual aspiration thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke refractory to stent-based thrombectomy
