This mission requires Interventional Radiology Modalities involving the use of ionizing radiation. Therefore, the EDWIN system is crucial for improving patient safety and radiation dose optimization, to detect and alert potential radiation dose and use of contrast media (CM) in real-time, allowing for timely adjustments to be made to optimize radiation exposure and CM use to the patient.

To the Editor: The Food and Drug Administration recently approved the use of 2 oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors —abrocitinib and upadacitinib—for patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) not adequately controlled with systemic therapies, including biologics, or when the use of such treatments is inadvisable.1,2 In September 2021, the Food and Drug Administration issued a boxed warning for a ll JAK inhibitors regarding the increased risk of serious infections, heart attack, stroke, cancer, blood clots, and death.

Trends in Cardiovascular Mortality in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation and Cancer in the United States (1999 to 2020)
Cancer has been identified as an independent risk factor for atrial fibrillation (AF). Although the development of novel therapeutic agents has led to significant improvement in cancer-related outcomes, there is also a rising concern regarding the long-term impact of treatment-emergent cardiac adverse events such as AF.1 AF portends a poor prognosis in patients with cancer and is also associated with a twofold increase in the risk of stroke as compared with patients with AF without cancer.2 However, population-level data on the impact of AF on overall cardiovascular mortality in patients with cancer remain limited.
