CONCLUSION: Platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) is a simple, cost effective and easily obtainable novel inflammatory marker that may help in predicting the severity of disease and prognosis in terms of functional outcome as evidenced by its increased value in patients of acute ischemic stroke as well as its linear positive correlation with NIHSS score.PMID:34227777

Comparing Vascular Brain Injury and Stroke by Cranial Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Physician-Adjudication, and Self-Report: Data from the Strong Heart Study
Conclusion: In this community-based cohort, self-report for prior stroke had good performance metrics. A majority of participants with VBI did not have overt, clinically recognized events but did have neurological or cognitive symptoms. COVID-19 Associated Stroke-A Single Centre Experience
CONCLUSIONS: We had a 1.6% incidence of COVID-19 related stroke of which the majority were carotid territory infarcts. In-hospital mortality was 55.17%, predicted by low GCS at admission.PMID:34472782
