Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor as Predictive Biomarker for Stroke Severity and Outcome; An Evaluation of a New Clinical Module in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: This study demonstrates that VEGF is highly upregulated in AIS with severe disability as compared to healthy controls. This biomarker is a strong predictor of severity and functionality when combined with clinical variables three months post the ishemic event.

Plasma biomarkers as potential predictors of functional dependence in daily life activities after ischemic stroke: A single center study
Conclusion: Plasma levels of BDNF, PDGF-AA, and PDGF-AB/BB are independent predictors for functional dependency in daily life activities and may be useful prognostic markers in the evaluation of ischemic stroke patients.

Lived Experiences of Stroke Survivors Undergoing Ayurvedic Rehabilitation Therapy in India.
Conclusion: The study indicates that stroke survivors undergoing Ayurvedic rehabilitation therapy look forward to improved self-reliance and experience enhanced feelings of hope. The treatment modalities used for rehabilitation are acceptable to patients. Essentially, rehabilitation in an Ayurvedic facility provides a holistic uplift in the well-being stroke survivors. Conclusion: Public health insurance scheme reduces direct cost of acute stroke care significantly. Severity of stroke and prolonged hospital stay were main cost-driven variables.

Conclusion: An implementable complex multilingual patient education material could be developed in a stepwise manner. The efficacy of the package to prevent major adverse cardiovascular events is being tested in the SPRINT INDIA study.

Long-term outcomes of ischaemic stroke patients with diabetes in a multi-ethnic cohort in Singapore
CONCLUSION: Our study provides quantitative data on the event rates of ischaemic stroke patients with diabetes.
