Neurovascular Outcomes in Relation With Carotid Artery Stenosis in Patients Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation
CONCLUSIONS: CAS is common among TAVI patients. While CAS as a whole was not a predictor of neurovascular complications, the subgroup of bilateral CAS was associated with an increased risk of stroke.PMID:36705606

The presence of angiographic collaterals in non‐ST elevation myocardial infarction is a predictor of long‐term clinical outcomes
Conclusions: In patients with NSTEMI the presence of angiographic coronary collaterals is a predictor of long‐term clinical outcomes primarily driven by increased rates of surgical revascularization. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

The management of patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention with stent implantation: In‐hospital‐data from the Atrial Fibrillation undergoing Coronary Artery Stenting (AFCAS) study
ConclusionsThe majority of AF patients undergoing PCI‐S are at high stroke risk, and therefore VKA treatment should not be withdrawn and combined anticoagulant and antiplatelet treatment is warranted. Current management appears largely in accordance with current recommendations, whereby accounting for the limited occurrence of in‐hospital adverse ischemic and bleeding events. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Conclusions
These data demonstrate that CABG in diabetic patients with MVD at low to intermediate surgical risk (defined as EUROSCORE <5) is superior to MVD PCI with DES. CABG decreased overall death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, and repeat revascularization at the expense of an increase in stroke risk.

Lack of intra-aortic balloon pump effectiveness in high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions without cardiogenic shock: A comprehensive meta-analysis of randomised trials and observational studies
Conclusions: The results suggest that PCI plus P-IABP support does not result in reduced in-hospital mortality or MACCE nor in significant higher access-site complications or stroke incidence compared with PCI alone in patients at high risk for peri-procedural PCI complications.
