Copeptin Levels in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke and Stroke Mimics Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— In the prehospital setting, copeptin is neither appropriate to discriminate between stroke and stroke mimic patients nor between vascular and nonvascular patients. Clinical Trial Registration— URL: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT01382862. The Pre-Hospital Acute Neurological Therapy and Optimization of Medical Care in Stroke Patients study (PHANTOM-S) was registered (NCT01382862). Predictors of Thrombolysis Administration in Mild Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—Mild acutely presenting stroke patients are more likely to receive thrombolysis if they are young, white, or Hispanic and arrive early to the hospital with more severe neurological presentation. Identification of predictors of thrombolysis is important in design of future studies to assess the use of thrombolysis for mild stroke.

Aortic Valve Calcification and Risk of Stroke Brief Report
Conclusions—Although AVC is a common finding in middle-aged and elderly community-dwelling people, our results suggest that AVC is not associated with an increased risk of stroke.

Pulmonary Embolism in Ischemic Stroke: Clinical Presentation, Risk Factors, and Outcome Stroke
Conclusions In this large cohort study, PE occurred in nearly 1% of AIS patients. PE was more common in patients with severe stroke, history of cancer, previous DVT/PE or acute DVT and associated with lower short- and long-term survival, greater disability, and longer length of stay.

Design and Validation of a Prehospital Stroke Scale to Predict Large Arterial Occlusion: The Rapid Arterial Occlusion Evaluation Scale Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The RACE scale is a simple tool that can accurately assess stroke severity and identify patients with acute stroke with large artery occlusion at prehospital setting by medical emergency technicians.

Influence of Distance to Scene on Time to Thrombolysis in a Specialized Stroke Ambulance Brief Reports
Conclusions— In a metropolitan area such as Berlin, time benefits justify a specialized stroke ambulance service up to a mean travel time of 18 minutes from base station. Clinical Trial Registration— URL: https://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT01382862.

Pediatric Acute Stroke Protocol Activation in a Children's Hospital Emergency Department Brief Reports
Conclusions— Of pediatric brain attacks, 24% were stroke, 2% were transient ischemic attack, and 14% were other neurological emergencies. Together, 40% had a stroke or other neurological emergency, underscoring the need for prompt evaluation and management of children with brain attacks.

Improving Door-to-Needle Times: A Single Center Validation of the Target Stroke Hypothesis Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Door-to-CT and DTN times improved dramatically after applying 10 best practices, all of which were later incorporated into the Target Stroke Guidelines created by the American Heart Association. The only factor that significantly affected DTN60 was the intervention itself, indicating that these best practices can result in improved DTN times.

Validity of Acute Stroke Lesion Volume Estimation by Diffusion-Weighted Imaging-Alberta Stroke Program Early Computed Tomographic Score Depends on Lesion Location in 496 Patients With Middle Cerebral Artery Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— ASPECTS has limitations when lesion location is not considered. Identification of patients with malignant profile by DWI-ASPECTS may be unreliable. ASPECTS may be a useful tool for the evaluation of noncontrast computed tomography. However, if MRI is used, ASPECTS seems dispensable because lesion volume can easily be quantified on DWI maps.
