Association between occupations and selected noncommunicable diseases: A matched case-control among Thai informal workers
CONCLUSIONS: There is a need to understand what are the key factors that increase the risk for NCDs among informal sector workers. Health promotion campaigns are needed to raise awareness among economically and social disadvantaged informal workers about the risk for NCDs. A Retrieved Sparganum of Spirometra erinaceieuropaei from a Korean Man during Mechanical Thrombectomy.
We report a case of cerebral intravascular sparganosis in an elderly patient with acute ischemic stroke who was diagnosed by retrieving sparganum during mechanical thrombectomy. Posterior spinal cord infarctions due to neurosyphilis
An 86-year-old patient with multiple vascular risk factors including 3 previous strokes woke up with a sensation of wet lower limbs, with bilateral loss of proprioception in legs on examination. Cervical MRI showed 2 acute medullary ischemic lesions in the posterior columns at level C3 and C4 (figure 1, A–D). Biological screening including HIV serology, Treponema pallidum hemagglutination assay (TPHA), Venereal Disease Research Laboratory test (VDRL), and Lyme disease serology showed an increased TPHA titer of 1:320, with a negative VDRL.

Neuregulin-1 attenuates mortality associated with experimental cerebral malaria
Conclusions: This study suggests that NRG-1 attenuates ECM-associated brain inflammation and injuries and may represent a novel supportive therapy for the management of CM.

Safety of IV thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke related to Chagas disease
Conclusion: In the largest published series of patients with CD-related stroke treated with IV TPA, we have observed that IV thrombolysis was safely performed and showed no increase of SIH. The diagnosis of CD should not preclude IV thrombolysis in these patients.
