ConclusionUse of codeine‐containing analgesics is associated with a poorer short‐term prognosis and an increased occurrence of complications in the acute phase after a stroke. The highly significant findings suggest that codeine has a negative effect on acute stroke patients. Severe Cerebral Venous and Sinus Thrombosis: Clinical Course, Imaging Correlates, and Prognosis
Conclusion The outcome of severe CVT is almost equally divided between severe impairment or death and survival with no or only mild handicap. Specifically, space-occupying mass effect and associated neurologic deterioration seem to determine a poor outcome. Therefore, early detection and treatment of mass effect should be the focus of critical care.

First-line lesional aspiration in acute stroke thrombectomy using a novel intermediate catheter: Initial experiences with the SOFIA.
CONCLUSIONS: Lesional aspiration with SOFIA is in line with published data. The SOFIA may be used as a first-line device, aiming at fast recanalization by sole aspiration with good safety and efficacy. Stent-based thrombectomy versus intravenous tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischaemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Stentrievers can achieve a high rate of recanalisation and functional independence in acute ischaemic stroke and have a relatively good safety profile. Healthcare circuits and functional outcomes 3 and 12 months after a stroke in a population-based cohort of 929 patients
In this study, carried out with an exhaustive population within a region and a one-year follow-up with few missing data, the results show a morbi-mortality after stroke higher than the one reported in previous studies. The results also confirm the better prognosis of IS.
