We read with interest the research article entitled “Stroke as a Neurological Complication of COVID-19: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Incidence, Outcomes and Predictors”,1 it was a systematic review and meta-analysis on stroke incidence and different outcomes over COVID-19 patients. We are particularly concerned about the potential gro ups of overlapped COVID-19 stroke subjects in the meta-analysis under the worldwide SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on stroke severity and mortality in the south-east of Santiago, Chile
Background and purpose: Chile has been one of the most affected countries by the COVID-19 pandemic, with one of the highest case rates per population. This has affected the epidemiological behaviour of various pathologies. We analyze the impact of the pandemic on the number of admissions due to stroke, its severity and mortality in Santiago, Chile.Methods: a multicenter observational study based on the records of the 3 hospitals of the South East health service in Santiago, Chile. We recorded the number of patients admitted for ischemic stroke between 01 January 2020 and 30 June 2020.

Maintained acute stroke admission during the first wave COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden, a register-based study
Clinicians and researchers have addressed concerns about the negative impact of COVID-19 outbreaks on the ability of health care systems to provide timely assessment and acute therapies to patients with stroke. The aim of this study is to describe stroke care during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the same period the year before at an acute care hospital in Sweden.

A steadily rising number of patients requiring intensive care, a large proportion from racial and ethnic minorities, demands creative solutions to provide high-quality care while ensuring healthcare worker safety in the face of limited resources. Universal laboratory testing for SARS-CoV-2 in hyperacute stroke during the COVID-19 pandemic
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic necessitates organizational and structural adjustments to local health care systems to protect medical professionals and patients from infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (1). Particularly older individuals and those with cardiovascular comorbidities are thought to be at increased risk of COVID-19 (2). Consequently, stroke patients can be considered an at-risk population and might benefit from infection control screens at hospital entry (3,4).

During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic the use of health care systems changed suddenly. Hospitals were overwhelmed as a result of the staggering COVID-19 patient numbers1 and/or modified their daily routine due to prophylactic allocation of resources.2 Public lockdowns with strict containment recommendations for the community have been announced around the world.3 Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and dispatch centers were confronted with increasing numbers of patients/calls and reorganization of the dispatch system including Code Stroke patient referral.

Unusual Pattern of Arterial Macrothrombosis Causing Stroke in a Young Adult Recovered from COVID-19
Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic continues to grow all over the world. Neurological manifestations related to COVID-19, including acute ischemic Stroke (AIS), have been reported in recent studies. In most of these, the patients are older, have multiple co-morbidities as risk factors for AIS and have developed a severe respiratory illness. Herein, we report a 36-year-old man with no significant past medical history who recently recovered from a mild COVID-19 infection and presented with unusual pattern of arterial macrothrombosis causing AIS.
