Predictors of all ‐cause mortality and ischemic events within and beyond 1 year after an acute coronary syndrome: results from the EPICOR registry
ConclusionWe observed continuous MACCE risk during 2 years of follow ‐up after discharge for ACS, with greater mortality within the first year. Specific predictors at discharge for events after 1 year could not be identified.

Septal Alcohol Ablation Versus Myectomy for Symptomatic Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy: Systematic Review and Meta ‐analysis
ConclusionCompared with SM, ASA is associated with lower peri ‐procedural mortality and stroke but higher rates of pacemaker implantations and re‐intervention. However, there was no difference between ASA and SM with regards to long‐term all‐cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality or SCD.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Sex ‐Differences in Post‐Discharge Outcomes Among Patients Hospitalized for Atrial Fibrillation
ConclusionsHospitalization for AF is common and frequently associated with both in ‐hospital complications and re‐admission, which were more commonly observed among women with AF. Further research into epidemiological factors and treatment differences between men and women with AF is warranted.

Initial Apixaban Dosing in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation
ConclusionsIn clinical practice, apixaban dosing is frequently incoherent with labelling. Factors associated with inappropriate dose reduction are age, patient weight and serum creatinine level, the same factors that are used as criteria for dose adjustment. However, in underdosed patients, the three factors did not meet the criteria‐rule for dose reduction.
