B-po03-002 the critical role the allied health professional plays in the management of implantable loop recorder data in patients with history of cryptogenic stroke and atrial fibrillation
Implantation of implantable loop recorders (ILR ’s) requires a dedicated team to manage incoming data. Allied health professionals (AHP) are critical to the management of the numerous events and alerts associated with ILR data. Patients who receive an ILR for the diagnosis of cryptogenic stroke need detailed analysis of each episode to accurate ly identify episodes of atrial fibrillation (AF). Patients who are found to have appropriate detection of AF need to be risk stratified for timely anticoagulation initiation.

B-po01-061 stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation using a percutaneous carotid coil filter: two-year outcomes of the first-in-human capture trial
We previously reported results of a first in human clinical trial (CAPTURE; NCT03571789) in which we studied a novel permanent carotid coil filter that is placed by direct transcutaneous puncture bilaterally into the common carotid arteries (CCAs) to prevent embolic stroke.

B-ab07-02 spontaneous fluctuations in atrial fibrillation burden in patients with implantable devices: implications for incorporating burden into stroke risk assessment
Studies have tried to improve atrial fibrillation (AF) stroke prediction by incorporating AF burden, typically measured at a single time point.

Bs-400-31 association between sleep apnea, atrial fibrillation and incident stroke in a very large population of young individuals
Sleep apnea (SA) worsens outcomes in patients with atrial fibrillation/flutter (AF), and both are common in young patients (20-50 years). However, it is unreported what proportion of young patients with SA have or will develop AF or stroke.

Po-699-03 ischemic stroke risk correlates with degree of left atrial fibrosis in atrial fibrillation patients
Increasing data support a causal relationship between left atrial (LA) remodeling and ischemic stroke (IS) risk in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients.

Po-697-02 impact of left atrial appendage stump on arrhythmogenicity and stroke risk after atri-clip in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation
Surgical left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) with an atrial clip (Atricure) is frequently performed for stroke prophylaxis in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Scant data exist for arrhythmogenicity and thromboembolic risk with the residual LAA stump.

Po-639-04 watchman vs amulet left atrial appendage occluder for stroke prophylaxis
Left atrial appendage Occlusion (LAAO) is an alternative to oral anticoagulation to reduce stroke risk in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF).

Hp-574-04 associations between obesity parameters and the risk of incident atrial fibrillation and ischemic stroke in different age groups: a nationwide population-based study
Atrial fibrillation (AF) and ischemic stroke (IS) are two representative cardiovascular diseases. They share common metabolic risk factors such as obesity and ageing is an important predisposing factor. Limited data comprehensively evaluated the relationship between obesity measurements - body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) - and incident AF and IS in the different age groups.
