Neutrophil Recruitment in Arterial Thrombus and Characteristics of Stroke Patients with Neutrophil-Rich Thrombus
CONCLUSION: Neutrophils were recruited and increased in arterial thrombosis in a time-dependent manner; however, they were not associated with the growth of formed thrombi. Community Integration and Quality of Life in Aphasia after Stroke.
CONCLUSION: Community activities of PWA were very limited, and depression was highly associated with decreased community integration and QOL. Enhancing social participation and reducing emotional distress should be emphasized for rehabilitation of PWA.

Development and Comparison of Warfarin Dosing Algorithms in Stroke Patients.
CONCLUSION: Our warfarin dosing algorithm may be useful for Korean patients with stroke. Further studies to elucidate clinical utility of genotype-guided dosing and find the additional genetic association are necessary.

A Thin Left Atrial Antral Wall Around the Pulmonary Vein Reflects Structural Remodeling by Atrial Fibrillation and is Associated with Stroke.
CONCLUSION: Thick PVWs were associated with diabetes and heart failure, and also showed significant inverse correlations with stroke and the CHA₂DS₂-VASc score. Thick PVWs were associated with reconnected PVPs after the CPVI, which were related to AF recurrence.

The Usefulness of Muscle Biopsy in Initial Diagnostic Evaluation of Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy, Lactic Acidosis, and Stroke-Like Episodes.
CONCLUSION: The usefulness of muscle biopsy appears to be limited to an initial confirmative diagnostic evaluation of MELAS. Muscle biopsy can provide some information in MELAS patients with weakness not confirmed by genetic testing.
