Discussion Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a group of inherited blood disorders where there are abnormal hemoglobin molecules and the red blood cells take on a characteristic sickled shape instead of a rounded shape. Sickled hemoglobin provides an evolutionary advantage of giving the individual increased protection against severe and cerebral malaria. This article uses an existing American survey to compare Saudi physiotherapists' current practice and preferred interventions in stroke rehabilitation with their counterparts in other countries. Method: An electronic survey was sent between September and October 2020 to physiotherapists (n = 287) treating persons with stroke in Saudi Arabia. Conclusions: The overall knowledge regarding the management of medical emergency crises in the dental chair was moderate. However, the scale of knowledge regarding the management of medical emergency crises has gradually increased with the number of years of experience.
