Ethnic Disparities in Ischemic Stroke, Intracerebral Hemorrhage, and Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Incidence in The Netherlands Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Our findings suggest that Surinamese have an increased risk, whereas Moroccans have a reduced risk for all the various stroke subtypes. Among other ethnic minorities, the risk seems to depend on the stroke subtype and sex. These findings underscore the need to identify the root causes of these ethnic differences to assist primary and secondary prevention efforts.

Socioeconomic Inequalities in Stroke Incidence Among Migrant Groups: Analysis of Nationwide Data Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Our findings reveal socioeconomic inequalities in stroke incidence among all ethnic groups. Reduction of socioeconomic inequalities in stroke incidence among all ethnic groups may lead to a major public health improvement for all. Policy measures tackling socioeconomic inequalities should take into account the increased risk of stroke among ethnic minority populations.

Stroke Mimics: Experience of a Moroccan Stroke Unit
The objective of this study was to evaluate the frequency and the various etiologies of stroke mimics in our center. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the Thrombolysis Alert registry and we studied the frequency and characteristics of patients with stroke mimic. Results: Among 673 patients who were admitted to the emergency department within 4.5 hours for sudden focal neurological deficit suggestive of acute stroke, 105 patients (15.6 %) had a stroke mimic.

Genetic polymorphisms of T-1131C APOA5 and ALOX5AP SG13S114 with the susceptibility of ischaemic stroke in Morocco.
Abstract Ischaemic stroke is a multifactorial disease. Genetic polymorphisms involved in lipid, inflammatory and thrombotic metabolisms play an important role in the development of ischaemic stroke. The present study aimed to assess the relationship between T1131C APOA5 and SG13S114 ALOX5AP polymorphisms and the risk of ischemic stroke in 175 cases and 201 controls. G894T endothelial nitric oxide synthase polymorphism and ischemic stroke in Morocco
In this study, genotyping with PCR-RFLP and HRM (high resolution melting) methods were conducted on 165 ischemic stroke patients as well as 182 controls. The goal here was to compare genotyping with PCR-RLFP primer sequences of eNOS gene (size<300bp) to HRM. Our data suggests a statistically significant association between G894T eNOS polymorphism and ischemic stroke in recessive, dominant and additive models with P<0.05 and odds ratio of 2.68 (1.08–6.70), 1.78 (1.16–2.73), and 1.71 (1.21–2.43) respectively.
