Distance to Thrombus in Endovascular Treatment of Middle Cerebral Artery M1 Occlusion Predicts Recanalization Success and Clinical Outcome
CONCLUSION: Shorter DT was associated with higher rate of full recanalization (mTICI 3) after endovascular therapy. Having a longer DT reduces the chance of successful recanalization without distal embolism. However, there was no statistically significant effect for DT on a favorable outcome at third months or mortality with endovascular treatment of MCA M1 occlusions.PMID:33636978 | DOI:10.34172/aim.2021.17

Association of Interleukin-10 -592 C   >  A gene polymorphism with coronary artery disease: A case-control study and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Although our research findings support a significant association of genetic polymorphism in the IL10 gene with cardiovascular diseases, this finding cannot be confirmed in meta-analysis. Further functional analysis and evaluation of this marker in a multicenter setting are needed to establish its value as a risk stratification marker. Epidemiology of Intracranial and Extracranial Large Artery Stenosis in a Population-Based Study of Stroke in the Middle East
Conclusion: Extracranial carotid stenosis represents the majority of LAD strokes in this population. Thus, public health strategies may best be developed in such a way that they are targeted toward the risk factors that contribute to extracranial stenosis.Neuroepidemiology 2017;48:188-192
