Association between HMGB1 genetic variants and ischemic stroke susceptibility, onset age, and recurrence risk among Chinese Han individuals
CONCLUSIONS: Our study provided evidence for the association between HMGB1 polymorphisms and ischemic stroke susceptibility and recurrence, indicating that HMGB1 gene variants may be potential markers for first and secondary stroke prevention.PMID:37303653 | PMC:PMC10251027

Recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator (rt-PA) effectively restores neurological function and improves prognosis in acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSION: Compared with conventional pharmacological regimens, additional rt-PA intravenous thrombolytic therapy improves the clinical outcome of patients with acute ischemic stroke, promotes neurological recovery, and enhances patient prognosis without increasing the risk of patient-related adverse events.PMID:37303683 | PMC:PMC10251022

Gender heterogeneity in the influencing factors for cerebral microbleeds in acute ischemic stroke patients
CONCLUSION: There are gender differences in the influencing factors for CMBs in AIS patients. Age, old LIs, and blood glucose are independent risk or protective factors for comorbid CMBs in female AIS patients, although they are not associated with the risk of developing CMBs in male AIS patients.PMID:37259500 | DOI:10.1080/03007995.2023.2219581

Correlation between MRI features and CSF inflammatory factor levels in patients with infarction or TIA, assessed by contrast-enhanced high-resolution MRI
CONCLUSION: The temporal variation of CE-T1WI plaque was positively correlated with the level of cerebrospinal fluid inflammatory factors. High levels of inflammatory factors, positive remodeling, and significant enhancement were closely related to unstable plaque, which may increase the risk of stroke in patients with atherosclerosis.PMID:37193174 | PMC:PMC10182526
