Reflection on Stroke Deaths and end ‐of‐life stroke care
ConclusionIn this cohort, palliative care referral and EOLCP were commenced in less than 50% of patients, highlighting significant variations in clinical care. These data support the need to promote awareness of ACP, particularly in patients with prior stroke or significant co‐morbidities. This may help reduce potentially futile invasive investigations and treatment.

The effectiveness of home-based therapy on functional outcome, self-efficacy and anxiety among discharged stroke survivors
This study will provide the information on the effectiveness of HBT in comparison to UP among stroke population who are discharged from rehabilitation. Findings from the study will enable rehabilitation professionals to design effective discharge care plan for stroke survivors in combating functional decline when no longer receiving hospital-based therapy. Progression of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke multimorbidity in middle-aged women: A 20-year cohort study
ConclusionsStroke was associated with increased risk of progression to diabetes or heart disease. Social inequality, obesity, hypertension, physical inactivity, smoking, or having other chronic conditions were also significantly associated with increased odds of accumulating multimorbidity. Our findings highlight the importance of awareness of the role of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke multimorbidity among middle-aged women for clinicians and health-promotion agencies.

A Cohort Study of Anticholinergic Medication Burden and Incident Dementia and Stroke in Older Adults
ConclusionsHigh anticholinergic burden in initially healthy older people was associated with increased risk of incident dementia and ischemic stroke. A vascular effect may underlie this association. These findings highlight the importance of minimizing anticholinergic exposure in healthy older people.

Epidemiology of atrial fibrillation
ConclusionsAlthough the prevalence of AF worldwide is increasing steadily, large variation can be seen between studies and countries. Further epidemiological studies should be undertaken globally, especially in Asian and African countries so that a better and more accurate picture of the incidence and prevalence of AF can be captured, to enable stroke prevention strategies to be appropriately implemented to prevent or reduce the risk of stroke, the most severe consequence of AF.

Associations of Serum Testosterone and Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin With Incident Cardiovascular Events in Middle-Aged to Older Men
CONCLUSION: Men with lower total testosterone concentrations were not at increased risk for MI, stroke, HF, or MACE. Calculated free testosterone may be associated with risk for MACE.
