MAGT1 Deficiency Dysregulates Platelet Cation Homeostasis and Accelerates Arterial Thrombosis and Ischemic Stroke in Mice
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that MAGT1 and TRPC6 are functionally linked. Therefore, deficiency or impaired functionality of MAGT1 could be a potential risk factor for arterial thrombosis and stroke.PMID:37381987 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.122.318115

Hypoxia-Preconditioned Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Improved Cerebral Collateral Circulation and Stroke Outcome in Mice
CONCLUSIONS: BMSCs increased collateral circulation and improved poststroke outcomes, through the upregulation of Rabep2. These effects were enhanced by hypoxic preconditioning.PMID:37226732 | DOI:10.1161/ATVBAHA.122.318559

Neural Progenitor Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Enhance Blood-Brain Barrier Integrity by NF- κB (Nuclear Factor-κB) Dependent Regulation of ABCB1 (ATP-Binding Cassette Transporter B1) in Stroke Mice.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that EVs enhance poststroke BBB integrity via ABCB1 and MMP-9 regulation, attenuating inflammatory cell recruitment by inhibition of the NF-κB pathway. PMID: 33327747 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Cell-Based Therapies for Stroke: Promising Solution or Dead End? Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Comorbidities in Preclinical Stroke Research
Conclusion The high prevalence of comorbidities in patients with stroke indicates the need for therapies in preclinical studies that take into account these comorbidities in order to avoid failures in translation to the patient. Preclinical studies are beginning to evaluate the efficacy of MSC treatment in stroke associated with comorbidities, especially hypertension, for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Regarding aging and diabetes, only ischemic stroke studies have been performed. For the moment, few studies have been performed and contradictory results are being reported. These contradictory results may be due to the u...

KLF11 (Kru üppel-Like Factor 11) Inhibits Arterial Thrombosis via Suppression of Tissue Factor in the Vascular Wall.
Conclusions- Our data demonstrate that KLF11 is a novel transcriptional suppressor of F3 in vascular smooth muscle cells, constituting a potential molecular target for inhibition of arterial thrombosis. PMID: 30602303 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
