Admission thyroid function in relation to 90-day outcome of acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: FT3 and TSH were negatively correlated with poor 90-day outcome in patients with AIS. Measurement of thyroid function on admission may provide independent prognostic information for 90-day outcome of AIS.PMID:37466064

Thrombectomy assisted by carotid stenting in acute ischemic stroke management: benefits and harms
This study assesses the benefits and harms of thrombectomy assisted by carotid stenting and identifies factors associated with clinical outcome and procedural complications. Retrospective single-center analysis of 47 consecutive stroke patients with carotid occlusion or high-grade stenosis and concomitant intracranial embolus treated between September 2011 and December 2014. Results and functional outcomes of acute ischemic stroke patients who underwent mechanical thrombectomy admitted to intensive care unit
Conclusions The factors relating to a worse functional outcome were symptomatic hemorrhage transformation, lack of recanalization and complications during EVT. The factors relating to mortality were symptomatic hemorrhage and hydrocephalus. Distal flow was achieve in most cases with a low complication rate. Half of the patients presented functional independence one year after the stroke.

Stent-based thrombectomy versus intravenous tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischaemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Stentrievers can achieve a high rate of recanalisation and functional independence in acute ischaemic stroke and have a relatively good safety profile. First-line lesional aspiration in acute stroke thrombectomy using a novel intermediate catheter: Initial experiences with the SOFIA.
CONCLUSIONS: Lesional aspiration with SOFIA is in line with published data. The SOFIA may be used as a first-line device, aiming at fast recanalization by sole aspiration with good safety and efficacy. Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischemic Stroke Using a  Manually Expandable Stent Retriever (Tigertriever) : Preliminary Single Center Experience.
CONCLUSION: The Tigertriever offers a safe and effective treatment option in ischemic stroke due to LVOs with reperfusion rates and a safety profile similar to alternative devices.
