Pipeline Embolization Device for the Treatment of Ruptured Intracerebral Aneurysms: A Multicenter Retrospective Study
Conclusion: The PED is a feasible and effective treatment to prevent rebleeding and achieve aneurysm occlusion, but it is associated with a substantial risk of periprocedural hemorrhage and ischemic complications in acute ruptured IAs. Therefore, the PED should be used selectively for acutely ruptured IAs. Additionally, adjunctive coiling might increase procedure-related stroke; however, it may reduce aneurysm rebleeding in acutely ruptured IAs. Patients with immediate contrast stasis in the venous phase were more likely to achieve total occlusion. A prospective study with a larger sample size should be performed to verify our results.

Atypical Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome in a Postpartum Woman With Moyamoya Disease: A Case Report and Literature Review
Conclusions:This patient was diagnosed with reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome related to moyamoya disease. This case highlights that atypical posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome can occur in patients with moyamoya disease, and should be considered for the differential diagnosis of cerebral infarcts and hemorrhage in a postpartum female.

Can Tirofiban Improve the Outcome of Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Propensity Score Matching Analysis
Conclusion: We demonstrated that tirofiban may be associated with improving favorable outcome for the AIS patients who underwent MT, without increasing ICH or sICH. Furthermore, our results indicated that for PCS patients tirofiban may not be associated with favorable outcome, and more comprehensive randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm this finding.

Low Diastolic Blood Pressure Predicts Good Clinical Outcome in Patients With Cerebral Venous Thrombosis
Conclusion: SBP > 129.5 mmHg and DBP > 77.5 mmHg suggested the presence of IH in CVT patients. DBP > 79.5 mmHg predicted a poor clinical outcome.

Impact of COVID-19 on Acute Stroke Presentation in a Designated COVID-19 Hospital
Conclusions: Although fewer acute stroke patients sought medical care in this designated COVID-19 hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, this type of hospital was more efficient for timely treatment of acute stroke. Recognizing how acute strokes presented in designated COVID-19 hospitals will contribute to appropriate adjustments in strategy for dealing with acute stroke during COVID-19 and future pandemics.

Intraplaque Enhancement Is Associated With Artery-to-Artery Embolism in Symptomatic Vertebrobasilar Atherosclerotic Diseases

Association Between Alkaline Phosphatase and Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage
Conclusions: High ALP level (>94.8 U/L) was independently associated with 30-day, 90-day, and 1-year poor functional outcomes in ICH patients. Serum ALP might serve as a predictor for poor functional outcomes after ICH onset.

IV-Thrombolysis in Ischemic Stroke With Unknown Time of Onset —Safety and Outcomes in Posterior vs. Anterior Circulation Stroke
Conclusions: In this real-world clinical cohort, the safety and the efficacy of rt-PA for ischemic stroke in the unknown or extended time window did not show relevant differences between PCS and ACS, with a trend toward less hemorrhagic complications in PCS. The findings reconfirm the clinician in the usage of rt-PA beyond the first 4.5 h also in selected patients with PCS.

Cognitive Impairment After Intracerebral Hemorrhage: A Systematic Review of Current Evidence and Knowledge Gaps
Discussion: Current findings suggest a dynamic course of post-ICH cognitive impairment that may depend on genetic, sociodemographic and clinical factors. Methodological heterogeneity prevented meta-analysis, limiting results. There is a need for the methodologies and time points of post-ICH cognitive assessments to be harmonized across diverse clinical and demographic populations.
