The family said the patient was watching football and developed an acute headache after he stood up screaming in excitement.His family said he had not taken his blood pressure medication for years. Risk factors of stroke recurrence in a low income country: case of Senegal (P6.289)
Conclusions:Stroke recurrence is relatively frequent in Senegal. Frequently, patients are irregularly followed up sometimes because of the unavailability of neurologists and neurology unit in peripheral regions and the cost of treatment. Conclusions: RFA has a similar procedural safety in diabetics when compared to non-diabetic patients. It remains a safe procedure in diabetics with drug-refractory atrial fibrillation and flutter. Renal failure, CHF, type of Insurance, hospital location and teaching status are predictors of complications after RFA.

Strokes Associated With Pregnancy and Puerperium Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—The incidence of pregnancy-associated stroke in Japan did not seem higher than that in other Asian and Western countries. The proportion of hemorrhagic stroke among Japanese women was much higher than that in white women. Preexisting cerebrovascular diseases and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome play a key role in hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, respectively.

Sonothrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke - Break on through to the other side
Conclusions: Sonothrombolysis appears to be a safe way to augment the effect of tPA without increasing the door to needle time with the added advantage of observing flow through the occluded artery in real time.
