Troponin T in Prediction of Culprit Lesion Coronary Artery Disease and 1-Year Major Adverse Cerebral and Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Acute Stroke
In this study, we aimed to associate enhanced TnT levels defined by different cutoff values with occurrence of culprit lesion coronary artery disease (CAD) as well as 1-year major adverse cerebral and cardiovascular events (MACCEs). Brain Natriuretic Peptide and Particular Left Ventricle Segment Asynergy Associated with Cardioembolic Stroke from Old Myocardial Infarction
It is important to determine the usage of anticoagulants by defining the actual risk of cardioembolic stroke in patients with old myocardial infarction. In the present study, we aimed to more precisely evaluate the risks of each segment associated with cardioembolic stroke using a 16-segment model. The usage of the plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) associated with cardioembolic stroke was also evaluated in comparison with a left ventricle ejection fraction less than 40%.

Interaction of Recanalization, Intracerebral Hemorrhage, and Cerebral Edema After Intravenous Thrombolysis Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Large ischemic core was associated with poorer outcomes and both early vasogenic brain edema and ICH, but recanalization on 24-hour CT angiography was associated with clinically favorable outcome. There was no significant interaction of recanalization and large core volume for any outcomes. The association of hemorrhage or brain edema with post-thrombolysis reperfusion is unclear.

Factors influencing employment after minor stroke and NSTEMI
Aim: To study the effect of cognitive function, fatigue and emotional symptoms on employment after a minor ischemic stroke compared to non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI).Material and methods: We included 217 patients with minor ischemic stroke and 133 NSTEMI patients employed at baseline aged 18 –70 years. Minor stroke was defined as modified Rankin scale (mRS) 0–2 at day seven or at discharge if before. Included NSTEMI patients had the same functional mRS. We applied a selection of cognitive tests and the patients completed questionnaires measuring symptoms of anxiety, depression and f atigue at follow up.
