E-025 The rate and predictors of 30-day readmission in patients treated for cerebral aneurysms: a large single-center study
ConclusionIn our study, risk factors for 30-day readmission were increasing BMI, cancer, increasing aneurysm width, and anticoagulation use. Clinical introduction A 63-year-old right-handed man presented for evaluation of left leg stiffness and sensory change. He had a medical history of remote prostate cancer (status post resection in 2011). The patient reported that one week prior, he began noticing left leg stiffness and numbness, as well as left hand weakness and discoordination. CONCLUSIONS: Chronic pain is an important source of burden of disease. It is comparable to other important causes such as headaches, stroke, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, among others. People discuss online the impact of health conditions on their lives. Comparing ‘posts’ across diseases may provide an initial understanding of comparative disease burden on quality of life (QOL). For 8 of the most prevalent conditions in the USA (ischemic heart disease [IHD], low back pain, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [COPD], diabetes mellitus [DM], lung cancer, stroke, depression, migraine), we identified the number of posts focused on QOL, examined the main topics/words used with the QOL term, and explored the proportion of posts with “positive” and “negative” sentiments.

Widely used anti-nausea drugs raise risk for ischemic stroke, study finds
A class of commonly used drugs designed to relieve nausea and vomiting caused by migraine, cancer treatment or surgery has been linked with an increased risk for ischemic stroke, a study published by the BMJ found.

Migraine and Medical Ramifications: A Comprehensive Overview Based on Observational Study Meta-Analyses
Conclusion: The results showed that migraine increased the risk of 29 health outcomes, though lowered the risk of breast cancer. However, evidence quality was graded as high only for angina. The evidence quality of ischaemic stroke, stroke, MACCE, WMAs, and asthma was graded as moderate. All remaining 24 outcomes had an evidence grade of “weak.”
