E-224 Bilateral external carotid artery sacrifice in massive refractory hemorrhage of the pharynx: a case report
This report suggests that bilateral ECA embolization may be safe in acute settings. In this report, the bleeding did not respond to conservative or surgical management and ECA embolization was used as a life-saving procedure in order to stop massive bleeding. Bilateral external carotid artery embolization is rarely employed because of the high risk of facial necrosis. Intraoperative Aneurysm Rupture during Resection for Presumed Metastasis
A 54-year-old male with metastatic melanoma, including a presumed brain metastasis underwent elective surgery when there was sudden onset of extensive bleeding upon resection. An emergent cerebral angiogram revealed a fusiform left posterior cerebral artery aneurysm. Malignant melanoma commonly metastasizes to the brain and has shown to assume a wide variety of appearances with involvement of almost any intracranial structures. The unexpected intraoperative finding required immediate action and strategic rethinking.

Conclusion and Outlook This review summarizes the data from major human studies on the health risks of radiation exposure and shows that sex can potentially influence the prolonged response to radiation exposure (Figure 1 and Tables 1, 2). Conclusion This well-conducted study shows promising signs that canakinumab may reduce the risk of future heart attacks and other cardiovascular events in people who've had them in the past. Clinical Outcomes of Metastatic Intra-cerebral Hemorrhage and Role of Acute Radiotherapy (P3.077)
CONCLUSIONS: Early recognition of metastatic disease as the etiology of ICH is important, particularly when it is the presenting manifestation. Despite the overall poor prognosis of metastatic cancer, early radiotherapy may increase survival and offer quality of life in selected group of patients.
