Rational design of genotyping nanodevice for HPV subtype distinction
Anal Chim Acta. 2023 Oct 2;1276:341651. doi: 10.1016/j.aca.2023.341651. Epub 2023 Jul 21.ABSTRACTThere are more than 200 subtypes of human papillomavirus (HPV), and high-risk HPVs are a leading cause of cervical cancer. Identifying the genotypes of HPV is significant for clinical diagnosis and cancer control. Herein, we used programmable and modified DNA as the backbone to construct fluorescent genotyping nanodevice for HPV subtype distinction. In our strategy, the dye-labeled single-stranded recognize-DNA (R-DNA) was hybridized with Black Hole Quencher (BHQ) labeled single-stranded link-DNA (L-DNA) to form three functiona...

Human papillomavirus-mediated expression of complement regulatory proteins in human cervical cancer cells
CONCLUSION: The study demonstrates the differential expression of CRPs in both HPV+ and HPV- cervical cancer cells for the first time, and their potential to serve as an early diagnostic marker for cervical carcinogenesis.PMID:37572452 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejogrb.2023.07.014

Negative Predictive Value of Circulating Tumor Tissue Modified Viral (TTMV)-HPV DNA for HPV-driven Oropharyngeal Cancer Surveillance
CONCLUSIONS: TTMV-HPV DNA surveillance testing yields few false negative results and few missed recurrences. These data could inform decisions on when to pursue re-imaging following first disease restaging and could inform future surveillance practice. Additional study of how pre-treatment TTMV-HPV DNA status impacts sensitivity for recurrence is needed.PMID:37566241 | DOI:10.1158/1078-0432.CCR-23-1478
