P2X7 Receptor-Induced Bone Cancer Pain by Regulating Microglial Activity via NLRP3/IL-1beta Signaling
CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that targeting the microglial P2X7R activated NLRP3/IL-1beta signaling pathway could serve as a potential strategy for BCP treatment.PMID:36375190

Abstracts of Presentations at the Association of Clinical Scientists 143 < sup > rd < /sup > Meeting Louisville, KY May 11-14,2022
Conclusion: These assays are suitable for routine diagnostic. The UltraFast NextGenPCR is the fastest with average time (30mins), followed by Agilent (2 hrs) and MassArray (6hrs). Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to examine, measure and compare results from different assays for SARS detection, evaluate and diagnose accurately, as well as being able to plan, organize and recommend a diagnostic procedure for diagnostic laboratory. Key words: SARS-CoV-2, RNA extraction, RT-PCR, limit of detection, quantification cycle, COVID-19, in vitro diagnostic tests, Agilent, Massarray, Ultrafast. [20] From t...

Development of lipid nanoparticles for delivery of siRNA to neural cells
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are a clinically approved platform to deliver siRNA to the liver. We are optimizing this platform to deliver siRNA for the treatment of pain. siRNA against TRPV1 (siTRPV1) was chosen as a proof of concept. siTRPV1-LNPs were formulated using C12-200, an ionizable cationic lipid and helper lipids. Their particle size and surface charge was characterized using dynamic light scattering and siRNA encapsulation efficiency was determined using a Ribogreen assay. A panel of breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7, MDA-MB-231 and BT-549) that express TRPV1 were selected for in vitro screening of LNPs to determine...

Abstract P2-05-26: Focal adhesion kinase is required for efficient tumor-induced osteoclastogenesis via control of macrophage colony stimulating factor expression
Breast cancer most commonly metastasizes to bone where metastases cause the potentiation of the vicious cycle. During this process, breast cancer bone metastases inhibit osteoblasts from forming new bone, while also activating osteoclasts to degrade bone. This in turn causes release of bone-matrix bound growth factors which propagate tumor growth. The overall net bone destruction can lead to significant adverse clinical consequences for patients including fractures or substantial pain. While agents such as bisphosphonates or the monoclonal antibody to RANKL denosumab, both of which inhibit the osteolytic activity of osteoc...
