Association of serum leptin and resistin levels among obese Saudi patients with acute myocardial infarction in Asir region
Cell Mol Biol (Noisy-le-grand). 2023 Jun 30;69(6):1-7. doi: 10.14715/cmb/2023.69.6.1.ABSTRACTIn the current scenario, the importance of cardiac biomarkers in diagnosing, assessing, and managing people with cardiovascular discomfort is required. This cross-sectional study examined the relationship between serum leptin and resistin levels among obese people with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with varying body mass index (BMI). The cardio and diabetic biomarkers among the 77 Saudi patients with hypoxia who lived in the Asir region were analyzed in the study. The patients were categorized into three groups, namely, group 1...

Temporal and Spatial Variations of Potentially Toxic Elements in PM < sub > 10 < /sub > Collected in Jeddah City, Saudi Arabia
In this study, ambient particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter equal to or less than 10 microns (PM10) has been collected at three different locations in Jeddah city, Saudi Arabia. The locations are characterized by differences in terms of traffic, residential intensity, industrial, and non-road mobile machinery activities. The monthly and annual mass concentration of the PM10 exceeds the recommended annual limit of the World Health Organization (15 µg/m3) and the European air quality standard (40 µg/m3) at the three locations. The collected PM10 samples as well as a certified reference material of atmospheric pa...
