A case of chest tightness variant asthma  : the usefulness of fractional exhaled nitric oxide as a marker for the diagnosis and clinical improvement
J Med Invest. 2021;68(3.4):389-392. doi: 10.2152/jmi.68.389.ABSTRACTA 50-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for further examination of severe constricting pain at the right-side dominant anterior chest. Effectiveness of Sublingual Immunotherapy in the Treatment of HDM-Induced Nasobronchial Allergies: A 3-Year Randomized Case-Control Study From Kashmir
Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) is the only disease-modifying treatment for allergic disorders that induces immunological tolerance through administration of specific allergens. Studies on AIT for subcutaneous route are in abundance; however, the efficacy of AIT in tablet form through sublingual route has not been well elucidated. The present prospective, parallel-group, controlled study sought to compare the efficacy of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) tablets with pharmacotherapy (PT) in 332 house dust mite (HDM)-specific allergic asthma and/or rhinitis patients over a period of 3 years. Patients were followed up for a 6-mon...

Shelling the myth: allergies to Iodine containing substances and risk of reaction to Iodinated contrast media
ConclusionsThere is a lack of understanding amongst local junior medical staff regarding administration of iodinated contrast media to patients with a history of allergy to iodinated substances. These misconceptions may potentiate the unnecessary usage of pre-medication and ordering of non-contrast scans in the setting of a gold-standard enhanced scan. Findings from this study suggest that there is a need for future education efforts targeted during the basic specialty training stage.
