Pertussis immunisation strategies to optimise infant pertussis control: A narrative systematic review
CONCLUSION: Comparing schedules is challenging and there was insufficient evidence to that one schedule was superior to another. Countries must select a schedule that maintains high vaccine coverage and reduced the risk of delaying the delivery vaccines to protect infants.PMID:37658001 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2023.08.073

Healthcare Update — 12-31-2012
A brief interview with an emergency physician who is also a health care attorney … defense only. On the right track about the Affordable Care Act, though – it’s all about access, not insurance. How often have you heard this claim before: Alcohol saved my life! For a man from the UK, the claim was apparently true. The CDC is warning that this year’s flu season is early and could be “severe.” We already got that picture. Vaccinations probably will help, so get them while you can. Washing your hands and avoiding sick people will definitely help. Antibiotics won’t help, so stop asking for a ZeePack for your c...

17 Examples of Admitted Vaccine Failure
Conclusion As you can see from the above examples, vaccines fail and do so often. Trust me, there are many more examples I didn’t cover here. Here’s a tip for you if you want to look for more information. Open your browser right now. Go to Google.com and do a search for the terms “previously immunized for (x)” or “breakthrough (x) in school.” X, of course, represents a “vaccine preventable” disease such as pertussis, measles, varicella, etc., – you get the point. As a parent, you trust doctors to provide you with accurate information. When doctors say vaccines work and they are effective, from whom are th...

Phylogenetic Approach for Inferring the Origin and Functional Evolution of Bacterial ADP-ribosylation Superfamily.
Abstract Bacterial ADP-ribosyltransferases (BADPRTs) are extensively contributed to determine the strain-specific virulence state and pathogenesis in human hosts. Understanding molecular evolution and functional diversity of the BADPRTs is an important standpoint to describe the fundamental behind in the vaccine designing for bacterial infections. In the present study, we have evaluated the origin and functional evolution of conserved domains within the BADPRTs by analyzing their sequence-function relationship. To represent the evolution history of BADPRTs, phylogenetic trees were constructed based on their protei...

Five Month-Old Baby Dies Just Days After 8 Vaccinations – Parents Are Charged With Her Murder
Conclusion As with so many of these cases, Baby A did not just receive just one vaccine, so it is therefore difficult to pinpoint exactly which vaccine, if any, may have led to her death. However, it is vital that the doctors involved in this case as with all cases, consider the vaccines as a possible contributory factor. Sadly, these parents have been accused and charged with the murder of their daughter without any substantial evidence of foul play. There appears to be no evidence of external head injuries or bruising to the upper body to indicate that Baby A had been shaken. I believe that if this child had been shaken ...

Do You Believe More Vaccines or Better Nutrition Prevents Disease?
Conclusion Tremendous government financial and medical resources are wasted on the development of more vaccinations to prevent diseases. No research has proven the effectiveness of vaccinations in preventing illness. Overwhelming evidence exists to show vaccines are dangerous to health and contribute to illness, injury and death. To prevent disease, one should avoid vaccinations, mercury dental fillings and toxic food. Following a nutrient-dense diet of whole, organic foods and removing toxic metals from the body are the best avenues to try and prevent illness and enhance health. References http://www.fierce...

Breastfeeding after maternal immunisation during pregnancy: Providing immunological protection to the newborn: A review.
Abstract Vaccination during pregnancy results in an augmentation of disease specific maternal antibodies. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is mainly transferred through the placenta during the third trimester of pregnancy, while secretory Immunoglobulin A (sIgA) is passed through breast milk. At birth, newborns are partially protected against infectious diseases by these antibodies. This review aims to provide an overview of the effect of vaccination during pregnancy on the immunological protection of the newborn by the presence of disease specific sIgA antibodies in breast milk and their possible protective function agains...

Vaccines not linked with autism, study finds
Conclusion This systematic review and meta-analysis has found no association between vaccination and the development of autism or autism spectrum disorder. The cohort studies included in the systematic review had information on more than a million children from four different countries.  This was a valuable and rigorous piece of research that will hopefully reassure parents who have any concerns about getting their children vaccinated against childhood diseases. As with all studies, this research has limitations. It excluded data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) in the United States, a system si...

The Scary Truth About the New York City Flu Vaccine Mandate
Conclusion Families should not be forced to inject their child with toxic substances. They should not be forced to receive a vaccine that is ineffective and dangerous. They should not be forced to give up their preferred choice for quality, early childhood education and care programs in order to avoid forced vaccination. Families should be allowed to make the choices for their health and well-being that are best for their family. If your child attends day care or preschool in New York City, we urge you to contact your elected officials and tell them you are against forced vaccination for your child. In addition, you may ex...

Vaccination of Older Adults with Dementia Against Respiratory Infections.
Abstract People with dementia are at a greater risk of complications from respiratory infections therefore can benefit from vaccinations against influenza, pneumococcal disease and pertussis. This review aimed to evaluate the uptake and impact of vaccination in older adults with dementia against respiratory infections and identify knowledge gaps. Key databases were explored, search results were assessed, relevant studies identified, and data were synthesised and summarised. Most available data suggest that older adults with dementia are less likely to receive influenza or pneumococcal vaccine while a few studies i...

Acellular vaccines for preventing whooping cough in children.
CONCLUSIONS: Multi-component (≥ three) aP vaccines are effective in preventing whooping cough in children. Multi-component aP vaccines have higher efficacy than low-efficacy wP vaccines, but they may be less efficacious than the highest-efficacy wP vaccines. Acellular vaccines have fewer adverse effects than whole-cell vaccines for the primary series as well as for booster doses. PMID: 25228233 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Symptomatic treatment of the cough in whooping cough.
CONCLUSIONS: There is insufficient evidence to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of interventions for the cough in whooping cough. More high-quality trials are needed to assess the effectiveness of potential antitussive treatments in patients with whooping cough. PMID: 25243777 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Interventions aimed at communities to inform and/or educate about early childhood vaccination.
CONCLUSIONS: This review provides limited evidence that interventions aimed at communities to inform and educate about early childhood vaccination may improve attitudes towards vaccination and probably increase vaccination uptake under some circumstances. However, some of these interventions may be resource intensive when implemented on a large scale and further rigorous evaluations are needed. These interventions may achieve most benefit when targeted to areas or groups that have low childhood vaccination rates.' PMID: 25408540 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

The burden of pertussis in low- and middle-income countries since the inception of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) in 1974: a systematic review protocol
Discussion The systematic review proposed by this protocol seeks to address the knowledge gap in the epidemiology of pertussis in LMICs for the first time. It is anticipated that the background epidemiological trends of pertussis in LMICs that our study will provide could be used in the planning for the control of pertussis.
