Shengui Sansheng San Ameliorates Cerebral Energy Deficiency via Citrate Cycle After Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion In summary, SSS extraction significantly ameliorates cerebral energy metabolism via boosting citrate cycle, which mainly embodies the enhancements of blood glucose concentration, glucose and lactate transportation and glucose utilization, as well as the regulations of relative enzymes activities in citrate cycle. These ameliorations ultimately resulted in numerous ATP yield after stroke, which improved neurological function and infarcted volume. Collectively, it suggests that SSS extraction has exerted advantageous effect in the treatment of cerebral ischemia. Ethics Statement All animal operations were accor...

Effects of total saponins from Trillium tschonoskii rhizome on grey and white matter injury evaluated by quantitative multiparametric MRI in a rat model of ischemic stroke
Conclusion Our results suggested the potential protective and repair-promoting effects of TSTT on grey and white matter from damage induced by ischemia. This study provides a modern pharmacological basis for the application of TSTT in managing ischemic stroke. Graphical abstract

Circulating exosomes and their role in stroke.
Abstract Stroke is an acute neurologic disorder which can be life threatening if left untreated or diagnosed lately. Various detecting techniques including neurologic imaging of brain by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging can facilitate diagnosis of stroke. However, according to the recent advances in molecular detection techniques new diagnostic and prognostic has been emerged. Exosomes as an extra cellar particle are one of these markers which can have useful diagnostic, prognostic and even therapeutic impact after stroke. We have previously discussed the role of exosomes in cardiovascular disease...

Use of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging as a screening tool for the determination of acute ischemic stroke duration
CONCLUSIONS: In hyperacute ischemic stroke, lesion age can be determined more accurately by the FLAIR SIR analysis than visual analysis. In patients whose stroke onset time is unknown, the FLAIR SIR can be used as a biomarker in the management of stroke patients.PMID:35179750 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202202_27992
