Rasch Analysis of the Stroke Impact Scale-16
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Results partially support the validity and clinical use of the SIS-16 in subacute stroke clinical settings. Further research is warranted to examine the psychometric properties of the SIS-16 in patients with chronic stroke. Development of a Computerized Adaptive Testing System for Assessing 5 Functions in Patients with Stroke: a simulation and validation study
The authors aimed to develop and validate a Computerized Adaptive Testing System for Assessing 5 Functions in Patients with Stroke (CAT-5F) based on the Barthel Index (BI), Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke patients (PASS), and Stroke Rehabilitation Assessment of Movement (STREAM) to improve the efficiency of assessment. The purposes of the CAT-5F assessment are to describe patients ’ levels of impairments or disabilities in the 5 functions and to serve as an outcome measure in patients with stroke.

Cardiovascular Outcomes of Vildagliptin in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus after Acute Coronary Syndrome or Acute Ischemic Stroke

Long-term outcomes of percutaneous left atrial appendage closure for the prevention of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation: Asia-Pacific experience
CONCLUSION: This long-term follow-up study shows that percutaneous closure of LAA is a safe and technically feasible procedure with satisfactory outcomes in Asia. TEVAR With Supra-Aortic Trunk Revascularization Is Associated With Increased Risk Of Periprocedural Ischemic Stroke
Ischemic stroke is a devastating complication of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). This risk may be higher in more proximal aneurysms that require arch manipulation. The purpose of this study was to (1) describe 30-day stroke and death rates in patients undergoing TEVAR, (2) compare stroke rates in patients undergoing TEVAR for arch versus descending aneurysm pathology, and (3) identify predictive factors associated with stroke after TEVAR.

Feasibility and Potential Effects of Robot-Assisted Passive Range of Motion Training in Combination with Conventional Rehabilitation on Hand Function in Patients with Chronic Stroke
CONCLUSION: Exoskeleton robot-assisted passive range of motion of the hand using an exoskeleton can be considered as an induction therapy before starting conventional therapy for hand rehabilitation in patients with chronic stroke.
